Preparing for Retreat Courses
Course Location & Lodging
OneDream & Couples Course
These courses are hosted at retreat centers. We email registered students cabin assignments and additional details prior to the weekend.
LSS
LSS is hosted at Twin Rivers Resort.
We secure the entire resort and all cabins are within walking distance to the course room. Please plan to ride with your course mates. As you may know, many of your course mates are from out of town so please plan to ride up together even if you are not all in the same cabin.
210 Twin River Orchard Rd.
Demorest GA 30535

Travel from SoHA to the Retreat Site
For OneDream and LSS courses, we require that you carpool to the retreat site with at least 2 other people. We recommend SoHA as a meeting/launch point for carpools. Each OneDream and LSS group will be set up with a Yahoo Group to help facilitate this coordination.
Backjack Chairs and Body Pillows
You will be provided a backjack chair and body pillow for the course, however each student is responsible for bringing them each weekend. If you are traveling from out of town, it is possible to have one of your course mates store it between weekends. Backjacks and body pillows may be picked up at SoHA as early as the Tuesday before the first weekend of your course.
Arrival Times
Check in at the retreat site lodging starts as early as 4:00PM. For LSS weekends, we ask that you plan to eat dinner prior to your arrival on Thursday evening and that you arrive no later than 6:00PM to settle into your cabin.
Clothing
Please dress in comfortable clothing. Layers are recommended as the temperature in the course room tends to fluctuate. Wear warm socks, or slippers, as we will be removing our shoes during the course. Also, you may want to bring a blanket.
Energies
Additionally when considering attire for the weekend, please avoid shorts, tight pants, short skirts and low-cut tops. This is for your basic comfort, and it is also because this is an advanced course - please dress for a mature, introspective weekend.
Food
Breakfasts
Please plan with your cabin mates if there are special items you would like to have in the mornings (eggs, toast, jelly, creamer, etc.) or snacks you may want at night. We will deliver coffee and fruit to your cabins.
Lunches and Dinners
We have planned for lunches and dinners Friday through Saturday to be provided. We have taken into consideration the dietary requests on the agreement forms. If there is something special you require please bring it with you.
Alcohol Policy
Alcohol (and other mood altering substances) - Do not bring any non-prescription drugs or alcohol with you to the weekend. Please take yourself seriously.
Other Items to Bring
- Your favorite coffee/tea mug
- Bottle for water with a lid
- Backjack chair and body pillow

- Bring your Audiology CDs and CD player or create a playlist on your iPod.
If you would like to learn more about Audiology, please email Alexandra at alexandra@sohaonline.org.
